The SWCD provides a tree matting service, using the SWCD's tree mat machine. Charges for the tree mat services is $.40/foot continuous mat installed and $.35/foot continuous mat uninstalled. Individual mats can also be purchased at $1.50/mat. (Rates are subject to change)

Better weed control - weeds and grasses cannot penetrate the mat’s spun bonded polypropylene fabric, but allows air and water to pass through readily.
